At the student clinic-1 hr. Legs & hips tight and it's always weird how I'm sore afterwards, even if I'm not before like this time. Drinking lots of water afterwards. GOALS for 2017: BMI no higher than current 22 or even better, get back to 21! I'm in the 10th percentile of American men my height in their 50's!!! Thinking about returning to the Ft. Bliss Half Marathon on the 21st and then I'll go back for a massage on the Monday after. Mediocre race last year because I went out too fast (I see that now but couldn't figure it out at the time). Just watched Prefontaine (not the one with Donald Southerland as Bowerman-already seen that) and it struck me how Bowerman told Pre he needed to focus on the 3 mile race. I wish someone would do that for me, tell me what race distance to focus on. I always get injured training for marathons and while I've improved at that distance and love the challenge, my biggest improvement might be in the 5k. I've won and placed in my AG at that distance recently after running my first one 11 years ago in about 30 minutes.
