Temp 45 (40) Wind 12 mph.

Track Intervals. Physically and mental out of sorts in too many ways to list. One of those "hit the door and do it" mornings. Up = 1.92 mile jog to the track at 8:26 average pace. Few drills and a couple of strides to prime.

Workout = 5 x 1000 (2.5 laps) with 400 (1.0 lap) jogs. Too dark to see six inches in front of my face and eyes are watery in chilly wind. Screw the watch, will find out my splits when I get home. Objective was 10K effort, but there were times when it was clearly 5K. Went with it. Flipped directions after first one and immediately struggled with right turns. Flipped again after third one (which was ugliest). Was losing momentum through turns when making lefts again on number four and it felt flat and slow (it was). Had it figured out by number five (which was prettiest). Average Paces for 1K Splits = 6:29 / 6:20 / 6:21 / 6:24 / 6:22. Probably a good indicator. Say I'm a 19:30ish on a certified 5K course. Maybe a few ticks faster if there is a pissing contest involved. My stamina at LT clearly sucks. A 19:30 sounds so weak, but good lord, at 54 that's over 78%.

Down = 2.01 miles at 9:18 average pace.
