Not sure how they trained before the internet and radar? Start out in a steady rain knowing this is the back-end of what looks like several systems to move through over the next couple of days. Showers end after about 20:00 minutes. Jog over to the track for two laps of low-impact drills. Stop for a short stretch out, then hit three more laps of plyo drills and two striders. Out the gate and over to Orchard Drive and Broadridge for Hill Repeats.

Hill Repeats today are a new workout. 6 x 60 Seconds of Hill Bounding / Hill Running. Will bound up the hill the first 50+ meters, then run the rest of the way. Will jog to the bottom of the hill and hit a strider after each even number rep for a total of three. Jog/walk recoveries will be 4:00 minutes on odd number reps, and 5:00 minutes on even number reps with the striders. Focus on form, running under control and hitting each rep with an even effort.

Decent execution for first try. Paces hit in the 6:16 to 6:29 range. Felt a good stimulus. Will pile on some plyo jumps tonight.

Following last walk interval, jogged 1.12 miles home in 9:46.
