Easter Sunday Sunrise Service Long Run. Brutal night. Tossing, turning, and laying awake for extended periods. Wake up to radar that suggest starting early to beat line of incoming storms. Muggy. Everything to make it more difficult than it should be. Probably for the best.
Magill says 135-210 minutes at max 8:53 pace. On current volume, will cap at 18 miles. Establish an early smooth low-impact stride and rode it all the way. Looped west end of town, then headed out to Klaus Park and back. Finished by making a few circles around the neighborhood. Made it to Klaus averaging 9:06 pace. Finished with overall 8:56. Just shy of 1700 feet of inclines. Another two nickels and a penny.
Have made it to the taper. Run out of calendar before getting a 3-hour/20-miler bale of hay in the barn. Having to start a week late and ease back from injury put me in a hole. Lot of time, thought, and hard work to get this far. Results exceeded expectations going in. Could not be more pleased.
