Temp 18 (2) Wind 19 mph.
Easy Run with Drills and Striders. Jaw feels like I went a couple of rounds with Matt Hughes. Air temp not too bad, but wind is a bear. Despise running with my face covered.
Streets are partially covered with dusty snow. 2.14 miles to the track at 8:13 average pace. Drills and striders for 13:47 minutes. Eating a headwind about 80% of the way back home. 1.88 miles at 8:27 average pace.
Feet and right knee felt additional stress at times. Thinking these shoes may be shot. Looking back, (1) wearing these on tempo the day before I felt pain in bottom of left foot a few weeks ago, (2) on TM day before MCL barked, and (3) again on TM for a tempo the day before I royally screwed myself up. Add to that, roughest of last four runs since coming back were in these shoes. Found a pair of long-discontinued Kinvara 2s in Wisconsin. They went on the UPS truck yesterday morning. Looks like an immediate swap out is needed.
