Long Run with AT Tempo Intervals. One of those days its best to get it over with, get soaked, and get on with it. Lots of rain, little thunder, and some lightning (but nothing hitting the ground).

Park at HealthPoint and jog about a mile to bottom of Russell Street hill. Prime with 5 x 0:15 second hill sprints w/ 2:00 minute walk intervals. Take Oak Street over to the Orchards at 8:25 average pace. Go immediately into AT work after 35:00 minutes on my feet.

15:00 Minutes AT on Hills. Average 7:15 pace in heavy rain most of the way.

10:00 Minutes Easy. Average 8:11 pace taking Oak Street back over to City Park.

15:00 Minutes AT on Flat / Rolling. Average 7:11 pace on my Hubble Creek Valley loop.

15:00 Minutes Easy. Average 8:19 getting back to Jr. High and onto the track.

15:00 Minutes AT on Track: Average 6:59 pace. Legs feel like rubber on this soft surface.

Cool down by getting back on Oak Street and heading back to HealthPoint. Rain has lightened up for last 45:00 minutes or so. Shirt(s) and shorts soaked to the skin; however, good wicking socks do work and A6s do have decent drainage in the soles.

Don't remember doing this specific workout before. Pieced it together over last 24-36 hours. Came together more out of getting places to do some things rather than time on feet or distance. Worked out well. Toughens up inside the ribs and between the ears.

Oh, and BTW, in case anyone doesn't know or hasn't heard, FM is still a week away from getting back...
