Temp 57 Winds Calm.

Track Intervals. Battling inner ear infection, strep throat, touch of bronchitis, hang nail, etc., but like all elite 60%ers do, will push myself to achieve and press on...

Up = Jog 1.86 miles to the track at 8:28 average pace. Take a lap to surge the straights and walk the turns.

Workout is 10K/5K Effort Intervals:

1) 400 @ 6:41 average pace / 200 jog.

2) 800 @ 6:32 average pace / 200 jog.

3) 1200 @ 6:35 average pace / 400 jog.

4) 1200 @ 6:32 average pace / 400 jog.

5) 1200 @ 6:30 average pace.

Approximate distances. Using lap in middle lanes of track as 400. Jog intervals averaged between 8:39 and 8:34 pace.

Some trouble at first keeping my feet underneath me. After getting that under control, struggled some with keeping stride length consistent due to depth perception in darkness. Lot of what training is about...dealing with day to day inconsistencies and finding a way to be consistent. This morning's effort and performance was that: consistent.

Down = 1.99 miles at 9:27 average pace. Had to dodge a cat orgy on Boxwood Drive.
