Reestablish Road Legs. Will want to do this in shorts. Start with a loop around the neighborhood to make sure there wasn't too much loss of acclimation. Everything below the chin is toasty. Notice some mild TMitis on insides of knees and, to a lesser degree, in the hips.
Jog over to the track at 9:01 average pace. One lap to scout for ice patches, one lap of surges on the straights with walk recoveries on the turns, about 12:00 minutes of drills and strides, then finish with four laps of surges/strides on straights with jog recoveries on the turns.
Back to the house at 8:37 average pace. Both trips included stoppages to walk around/over ice patches. Streets should be fine for at least a couple of weeks starting tomorrow.
