Temp 42 (39) Wind 5 mph. Warmed to 50.
Long Run. Cool and clear. Could not have ordered up a better morning. Out the door for 1.93 miles at 8:01 average pace. Ending at bottom of Russell Street hill.
6 x 12-14 second short hill repeats with 2:00ish minute walk intervals.
Cap it with 12.25 miles at 7:26 average pace. Ran the first mile at 7:39 and thought that was pretty damn dumb. Did not look at my Garmin again until 7.33 miles and was averaging 7:31 pace. Maybe not so dumb. Out East Main past I-55 to Veterans Memorial Parkway. Over to Old Orchard Road with the beast of a hill heading up to the fire station. Glad to see that was an owl on the power line and not a buzzard. Onto Jax Blvd, then Old Cape Road, and back to the skater-town in City Park.
Walked to Casey's for a protein drink and water, then walked on home. Lucrative day: Two quarters, two dimes, and eight pennies.
Kind of scary this was not any harder than what it was. Six months away from jumping back into HM game (if I stay healthy.) Guess its time to start training.
