20 Tune-up with four striders. Physically right where I should be, if not 12-18 hours ahead. Do need to watch fueling and hydration rest of day. Picture perfect morning, so of course I put on too much gear. Smooth run with 8:14 and 8:15 miles splits (don't know if I was getting tired of there was more hills in second mile??? I'll try to do better next time). Striders a touch on the tight side, but topping out in 4:45-4:50 range.

Telethon is big annual event; however there has been questionable amount of promotion for the race. Not certain what kind of turnout they will get. Still, this course is great opportunity to work on some race skills. Only section that is not flat is in first and last 400 meters. Downhill to start. I need to remember I will not be in front after the first 400 meters, in fact there will probably be SEVERAL people in front of me. I do not have to pass all of them all at once immediately. Course includes two one mile plus straight flat stretches. One way almost certain will be into predicted 8-10 mph winds. Excellent chance to work on mental focus, leg turnover, and fast efficiency. Will not know until I get to starting line and see some stud(s), but as of right now, mental focus is on running to win OA.
