Long Run w/ CBEM-3. Warm up jog, drills, and striders. Three progressive striders working down to south of 6:00 on last two. Re-hydrate, toss top layer, and change into trainers.
Hammer and Father Joe wanting to get a look at front-end of City of Roses HM course at LR effort. My plan is 35:00 minutes at 3/4s effort. Not looking to do any hills today, but what the heck. Head out with them. Splits 7:23 / 7:29 (picking up coins) / 7:02 / 6:59 / 6:59 / 2:47 (6:50). Probably could have done a better "buffer" mile between 2 and 3. Was on Expressway @ 35:00, so kept on going to Minnesota. 5.41 miles in 38:41.
Jog a mile in Shawnee Park waiting for them to come around. End up tagging along way behind coming the rest of the way in. Cool-down of 3.59 miles in 29:46. Its getting warm. 12 cents today, but still get smoked by Hammer's 26 cents.
