AT Tempo on Flat/Rolling Streets. Between weather and life-junk, decided to take a 48-hour mental and physical chill. Fresh start today. About 15:00 minutes of warm-up jogging with three short surges.
Averaged 7:46 on a 30+ minute tempo with full mile splits of 7:47 / 7:49 / 7:44 / 7:43. Maybe not as even as it looks. Took a while to get on top of my foot strikes, and several periods of easing up to deal with loss of proprioception absent much natural light this morning.
Easy 19:00 minute jog back to the house. Only two other folks out this morning. Both JR's -- City Administrator JR and USPS JR. Beauty of small town is knowing everyone else out walking the street at 5:00 a.m. by name and face. Last week's slow down has turned into a complete stop...ran for free.
