Temp 38 (WC 38) Wind 3 mph.

Drillin' / Hillin' Friday. Nice morning to run. Able to get an extra 90 minutes of sleep and legs are feeling sparky and ready to roll. Jog over to City Park and hit a low-impact drill set with two striders. Move on and head over to Whitey Herzog Stadium. Finish warm-up with some plyo-drills and two more striders. Total warm-up of 4.49 miles in 39:32.

Workout today is 4 x 90 Second Hill Repeats. 5:00 Minute Intervals will consist of jogging back to bottom of hill, then walking the remainder of the rest period. Last did this workout in October 2010. Had not recovered from HM and was running too many of these too fast. Was first day of downhill spiral that put me on DL. Little gun-shy here. Plan is to start back with four reps, and move finish line back to stop sign on Aberdine Circle.

#1 -- 1:29 (6:07) Nice start.

#2 -- 1:27 (5:57) Too fast.

#3 -- 1:31 (6:11) Relaxed and stretched out stride a tad. Pretty good.

#4 -- 1:30 (6:10) Out little too fast, back under control about 20 seconds up.

Overall, pleased with execution. Was expecting to be more rusty than I was.

Jog straight home for the cool-down. One of those "auto-glide" cool-downs. 2.27 miles in 19:34. Happy with execution of today's game plan.
