Overall this felt pretty good; however, bottom line, a little too much of it was a tad above Tempo Effort. Started fine. HR hit Tempo Effort about three quarters of a mile in. I'm relaxed and looking to find a rhythm. Started noticing a couple of city patrol cars cruising park. This went on a while...thought they may be looking for someone? Just prior to third mile, patrolman walked up to trail, stopped me, and informed me I'm in the park too early. Had been watching, knew I was just working out, but park did not open until 6:00 am. (Always figured there was a curfew, but didn't know if it was set time or sunset & sunrise...place starts to fill up with seniors walking between 5:00 and 5:30 am.) Anyways, its neither 6:00 am nor sunrise, so I'm in the wrong. He was going to be cool about it and let me finish, but I told him that puts him on the spot when he has to make people leave who are there for no good reason.

New plan is to continue at Tempo Effort to Jr. High Track (its not posted, hah!) and finish. Problem is that its three quarters uphill with a couple of pretty steep spots. Risk of blowing up my HR four miles in. Headed for track, made it, checked the Garmin, and Ave. HR is at bottom of Race Effort. Decided to finish off 5th mile and call it. Got there and HR had not budged. Hey, I'm still feeling good, I'm at the very bottom end of Race Effort, I'm on a soft flat track, and this is last workout of this sustained intensity for two weeks...carry on!

Last mile at 7:20 with HR in middle of Race Effort. At least I didn't go ape-crap.
