Temp 24 (14) Wind 9 mph.

Sharpening Day. Catch a break with the melting and able to do my preferred hill repeats this morning. Few patches of ice here and there, some difficult to see in the overcast darkness until right on top of them, but streets mostly clear. What is left of the snow cover is teaming up with the breeze to put that distinct winter chill in the air.

Up = 2.33 miles at 7:47 average pace. Couple short and one longer surge.

4 x 60 Second Hill Repeats. Jog to bottom, strider, jog / walk recovery. Focus was on running them "pretty" over running them "fast", and as a by-product, all four were pretty fast. Worked Orchard Drive Hill, starting line from the men's tee, and made it to the finish line with 1-2 seconds to spare on each one. No traffic helped.

Down = 2.13 miles at 7:58 average pace. Never recall feeling this (running) strong from the waist down. Hope that I have hit the mark with my cardio and speed endurance work. Will have to trust the training. Big picture...DW-A in April.
