Back-to-Back Long Run Day One. Warm, humid, hazy, with two hours of hills, hills, hills. Route averaged 89.4 feet of inclines per mile. Was not expecting to be much faster than 9:00 flat this morning. Somewhere between three and five miles, begin to get real comfortable. Things got real easy. As with all of these runs, there are some spots that are not as good as others; however, today when one of the bad spots started to come on, just relaxed and never had to really slow down. Had that floating sensation.

Sports drink only this morning. Been sipping G2 on recent runs. Did not realize that G2 is low calorie. Thinking I will need the calories in September, so starting today, all sports drink will be regular G. Finished up at HP and watched the annual 4th of July 5K. Former college runners and HS XC runners take most of the top spots.

Enjoyable way to start the holiday. Dime and three pennies.
