Temp 44 (36) Wind 20 mph.

Post-Race Long Run. Rain not much of a factor until last 10-15 minutes. Wind crappy and attempted to stay as east and west as possible. Geared up for wind chill rather than air temperature. Warm at first, but temperature dropped five degrees while I was out and was feeling smart when rain finally started to soak through.

Ran over to The Orchards for a loop, then out to the Interstate. Was all the way back to Shawnee when I saw Paul S. Turned around and ran with him back to Bank of Missouri before turning back around and heading in for good. Two quarters, a dime, and three pennies. Protein shake...check. Replace electrolytes...check. Time to eat a bucket of oatmeal.

Big weekend for CBEM and Assoc. Brandon's 2nd OA (8,099 field), JT's AG Win (387 division), and my 2nd OA.

In a cycle now where mentally it seems like several younger guys are getting better and I am just getting older. Time to up my game and see if I can hang on to the front(er) pack for one more year or just outlast their surge.

Dude: You are still kicking butt. Your racing savvy will win you some of the races against the "youngsters" but age will continue to creep up on you. Regardless, you are still one of the best over 50 runners in MO. Besides, you will win 98% of the time against those who beat you ( which arent many) when we pull out the age-group percentages. They will not beat your 80/near 80% times.
