Temp 84 Wind 7 mph.
Squeezing in about six miles between Tempo Run and race on Saturday. Amazing weather! 84 degrees in the middle of the day in July. Low humidity, nice breeze. Allows me to go to the track between morning and evening sessions of football camp to save some wear and tear on the legs.
Walked about a mile before starting. Got to work on my tan and enjoy the day. Effort felt very easy, barely broke a sweat. Some college kids showed up and ran a 1600 during my last mile. I'm seeing them out of the corner of my eye and naturally picked it up without noticing. Ran the last mile way too fast. 8:51 / 8:21 / 7:42.
Hit it again early tomorrow morning. Take the wife on a walk over to the fitness center and pick up my packet tomorrow evening. Be ready to PR Saturday morning.
