Notes
With light stretch-out and core. Wanting to start the blood flowing for the day. Great to be back home, and not in too bad of shape physically after all-day drive.
Looking for heat index to top 100° today. Possible popup showers all afternoon and evening may cool it off before race time, or may just make it worse. Wanting to go under 19:00 at least once in my life on this course. Hills, a turnaround, narrow trails, tight turns, and foot bridges make it rough. 7:00 p.m. start in late July often results in heat limiting performance. Past Results:
2008 -- 22:48 (Second 5K)
2009 -- 20:40 (Pissing hard rain)
2010 -- 19:46 (Heat Index = 91°)
2011 -- DNS
2012 -- 19:34 (Heat Index 101°)
