Mission Aborted. Storm delayed start time to begin with. Weather Channel and radar said there was a 150 minute window. There wasn't. Sky opened up on first hill sprint. Was getting progressively harder every minute, and gear, shoes and socks were soaked within five minutes. Clouds showing no signs of relief anytime soon, and already so much standing water on streets, even if there was a let up, would be doing "pool running" rest of morning while trying to get in a productive workout. Headed in after fourth rep. Lightning just as making last turn into neighborhood, so good call. Will see what is possible tomorrow.
Passed two sportsmen with fishing boats hitched to their pickups sitting under park pavilion on jog to Russell/Cascade. On way back, more had arrived and two more pulling in. Looking at me like what kind of stupid goes out running in this weather. Like attempting to get out in a boat on a lake or river today was a better plan??
