Temp 52 Wind 13 mph.
Had to hit it early a.m. today. Visiting middle son at college in Rolla for birthday and didn't want to risk trying to get this in tonight after 6 hours in a car.
Storms and rain all night and this morning. Kept it in the neighborhood so as to not get caught out if lighting returns. Didn't want to soak the ASICS before the long run tomorrow, so broke out the New Balance trail shoes. There's more weight to them and are more square on bottom, so lots of heavy heel striking and braking today. Five miles in small neighborhood loop(s) felt like a glorified outdoor treadmill workout.
Backed it way down today. 10:00 minute pace. Knees and quads a little sore coming back after time off. Felt ITB some today after about three miles, but more soreness in right leg in general...hammy, calf, hip flexor.
Caught break in darkness. Could not find my rain top and had to wear wife's. Neighbors didn't get sight of me running in top that hit me right below belly-button. No calls to cops about "tranny" sightings.
