Back-to-Back Long Run Day Two. Total of 150 minutes with 6.5 valley loops of race simulation. Cooler, but hazy in the creek valley. Warmed quick to low 70s with sun's burn off. Expecting a lot of morning park activity. There was. Last of the vendors packing up and moving out plus several clean up crews in addition to later morning traffic in general.

Jog around for 2.73 miles at 8:51 average pace to shake out. Four pennies.

Fine tuning fuel / hydration plan. Thinking I might be slightly over-hydrated going in and start getting urges to pee mid-way through first lap. Go ahead and stick with normal drinking plan. Urges come on strong and then go away. After five miles, recognize this is taking away way too much of my mental focus, so made a pit stop. Sure enough, crystal clear. Whole run started to turn around for the better afterward. Never stop the watch during these simulations, and got back on the road averaging 8:44 pace overall. Finished at 8:37 average, so if anything, ran the last 10+ a few ticks too fast. Everything seemed to click in starting the fourth loop. Mentally great, cardio great. Physically a grind at times due to (what I think was) lack of sleep the last two nights. Not so much "rough spots", just had to force myself to go through the proper motions. Total simulation = 15.27 miles at 8:37 average pace. (Even 18.0 for the day not intentional, that just happen.) Another pretty good brick for the wall.
