Temp 47 (43) Wind 6 mph.
Warm-Up / Cool Down. Leave house early and make a pit-stop in City Park to check on creek levels. One crossing, can get wet if need be, otherwise will use foot-bridge. Pick up a stick and clear out leafs and other debris to make a path for second crossing. Used what I removed to make a dam. Should be nearly 100% dry by race time.
Get to parking lot before registration starts, so jog about 15:00 minutes before signing up. Do so, then go hit some drills and strides. Jog a little more before changing shoes and getting on game face.
Change back in NB post-race and jog another 10:00 minutes on the football stadium's new million dollar artificial turf field. Contributed generously (involuntarily) to that high dollar expenditure, so will get my money's worth whenever possible.
Only one penny on the morning. Not a zero, but nowhere near the 61.28 pesos collected earlier by CBEGM co-founder in the parking lot of a fine SC eating establishment.
