Notes

Very solid workout today! Time is an accumulation of the entire workout so I would have to say I killed it! Stomach was a little rough the first few miles but my legs were feeling really good so I just rolled with it. Ran the first 2 miles probably close to 6:20 pace and then really started getting into it on the back trails of Knock Knolls. Ran the field loops and then popped out onto the path that leads to Whalon Lake and tried my best to stay aggressive. Once I got there I was ready to quit but I mentally kept telling myself to keep pushing and was able to finish the loop at Whalon and then stopped the tempo at the bathroom. Didn't have a watch on this part but including the 2 mile steady warmup it was just shy of 8 miles. I don't know what I ran my last 3 miles in but I was almost all out sprinting. Took a poop and then jogged for a little bit before doing a fartlek. Counted in my head and ended up doing 3 sets of (70,70,90) (80,70,90) (70,70,107) seconds. I did most of them by landmarks and after I checked on mapmyrun most of them were all right around 4:30 mile pace (except for the first set which was around 4:50 average) so I was rolling. Definitely has to be one of my best workout in a long time, and I'm really happy that the average pace of the whole run was so fast despite the first 2 miles and the easy jogging of the fartlek. Gotta keep grinding!
