Newton Hill

Notes

Ran after work, wanted to try a bit of a workout, so I tried to have some fun, made up this workout as I went along. I felt like trying to get a feel for pace again, so I ran a lap ~7:00 pace, and then a lap at 6:00 pace, then I felt like taking a right, down the hill, and ran a faster ~800 down to the bottom, Then I went back for another acceleration mile, 7:00 pace down to 6, and then ran up to the top of the hill.

I'm not really looking for these workouts to build a ton of fitness, I'm trying to have some fun, and experiment with what's available right now, and reminding my legs that they can run fast.

Also, the last two days have been good as far as getting on softer surfaces, keep the lower legs stronger, and less stress on the knees. Even if I'm running laps around Newton, Elm, or Institute, I should make an active effort to get on softer stuff a few times a week.

Tomorrow will be easier and shorter, not sure if I'll try something quick on Thursday, or if I'll save it till Friday... I also have V-ball on Thursday, so maybe I'll skip that workout, and hammer part of the long run.
