Ok, I know I have completely neglected to keep up to date on my log ever since I acquired a stress reaction on my foot, but I have now randomly decided that I feel like logging my rehab.
Today, I simulated Tuesday's XC workout. Once I got to the pool, I forgot exactly what it was, so I tried to come close just from memory, and of course I wasn't going to aquajog 1200 and 1000m, so I did it by interval time.
5 min warmup
3x 3 min 20 sec "tempo"(1.5 min rest)
3x 4 min "tempo" (2 min rest)
5 min cool down
When I do pick-ups, I essentially just move my arms and legs faster up and down, which I guess is analogous to a running tempo, but whatever.
The pool obviously had no effect on my injured foot.
The pool is the less interesting part. The best part about today was that I did one slow lap around the track and my foot did not hurt. I am still not running a lot, and I am going to be very very very careful not to do anything stupid, but just being able to run without pain is a very exciting thing!
Counting down the days until I can go for an actual run! (Not literally because I don't know when that is)
