Notes
We had 6 runners today - Hugh, Dan, Sam, Matt, and Adam. Adam had read about the run in the Missourian awhile back and is planning to run the HOA. I ran with Dan, Sam, and Matt mostly until the bottom of Easley Hill. There were times where we weren't together, but everyone caught up at the water stations that Dan had planted water yesterday. The gravel portion of the course was pretty rough today as there was newly graded gravel that slowed us a bit. I stopped at Easley portapotty for a bathroom break and then caught back up.
It was a cool morning and couldn't have asked for better weather in August. Dan ran easily up Easley Hill with me today and at after that was out of the way I felt really good. At about mile 14 Dan sees a runner coming towards us and says that looks like Phil and it was Phil. He started with the Lunatics at Stadium MKT and didn't have anyone to run with so decided to see if he could find us. Dan and I ran with him back to my car that we left at the Stadium (so we could run up the Providence Hill). He then went on back to the trail and we drove back to Rock Bridge Elementary where we started.
Sam and Adam had finished, then Hugh came along soon, and then Adam. Hugh stayed with Adam until Pierpont so he wouldn't get lost, and then took off at a faster pace.
