Sunny and warm. Nice course mostly on track and grass. One section on sand through a playground which I didn't like very much. 2 laps with the second lap taking in the hill with the bird statue at the top. The second lap seemed quite long - both go around some lakes. I tried hard and felt it went pretty well except for I had pain in my left hip which was pretty bad. It felt awful afterwards and I was limping all day. Pleased with being first lady home.
Nice friendly event and good café (which I'd been to before as its where the Braintree 5 used to go from). £3 for parking.
