Ow! Cold! First run after 2 days off to rest hip. Hip feels okay, slightly sore but not bad. 4 miles Pikisaari then through park and back to beach. 3rd mile seemed veeeeery slow to click off.

HR was elevated before run started--110-120 range while walking, when it's been 80s-90s lately. Didn't set Garmin to beep at me, as I figured I'd go over a bit today, and fighting with it only seems to raise HR even more. Tried not to look at it much, just go at a pace that babied the hip. So both average and max HR are high, but with luck it's just for today. Why was HR elevated? Possibly the two days off; possibly the headaches I've had over last two days were me fighting something off, not just from not running. Also couple of days with not enough sleep...let's put it down as overdetermined, and hope it's just temporary.

Wore: CW-X tights under Bill Rodgers fleecy ones, Craft ribbed base top, Hincapie wool jacket, BR yellow knit cap, white cotton gloves. Face got cold in worst of wind (not surprising, really), arms a bit chilly but not bad. If it doesn't get much worse than this, I'll be okay.
