Great run! Week's average under 16:00 pace up to today, but was nervous about how long run would go. Last night hip hurt, and I felt like I might be coming down with something (some sneezing, throat scratchy). Then I didn't get to bed until after 11.

Still, felt okay in the morning. Didn't rush out the door. Stuck to half a cup of coffee, had toast with PB (white toast! all we had in house was leftover crusty bread from last night, no whole rye--yet another reason to think run might go badly), then since didn't get out until about 11 am, had a banana, too.

Heart rate while walking during warm up was good, though, in 90s. Not as low as some days, but usually indicates a good run coming up. Walked up to first bridge before beach and started there to add mileage. Hip felt fine while running until last mile or so, still not terribly painful and felt much better after walking home. Great time! I'd set watch for 2:01:00, but was at 7.98 miles when finished, so restarted and ran last 20 secs to make up 8 miles exactly. Average pace below what rest of week was, brings week in at 15:29. Very happy! Two miles under 15.

Wore CW-X tights to help support hip, Mini long sleeve shirt, Celestial jacket, Mini cap, white gloves (took off after about 2 miles). Massive personal protection failure 20 minutes before end of run...tights may never be the same. That's when HR went up to 140--paths were crowded with people.
