Notes

This probably beats White Rock as the most miserable conditions for a marathon. Peter pointed out that Dallas was colder, and worse from the spectators stance. But the footing on anything that wasn't paved was pretty bad the entire way, especially after mile 9. So much mud! The Chute was downright terrifying and I almost went down. Actually, almost fell several times but managed to stay upright. What a mess.

All the parts where I like to go faster were so slick and muddy I had to slow it down quite a bit to avoid slipping and falling. Still slipped a lot, but no falls.

Passed the 23 mile marker at 4:04:10 and didn't think I'd come in before 4:40, but managed some pretty good paces on Goldhill and passed 5 women in the last few miles.

Athlinks has me passing 30 runners after the 17 mile relay point.
