Notes

Wow this was quite the run. Started at the top of Ester Dome and ran the first mile with Kaydee, starting out easy down the hill. The snow wasn't packed down like I was hoping and there was lots of shifting and slipping. My left knee got tweaked in the second mile (inner side, tendon behind the knee on the inside) and that bothered me somewhat the rest of the run. Starting a long run with a four mile steep descent might not have been the best idea, but we need to get some downhill running and this was the best way I could think of. It would be good in a shorter run (5-6 miles, up to 9 to get to SRC). Got to 9 miles at the roundabout, then did the next 6 miles on the paths and roads south of Geist. Plan was 15-16, and I got 15.3, so I guess that's good. 47 miles for the week.

Edit to add: this is where I developed the hamstring tendinitis that ruined my last weeks of marathon prep. Note to self: warm up before taking off down the hill, and shorten your stride!!!
