With the awful weather forecast and my hip acting up lately, I really didn't know what to expect. As the weather warnings for snow and cold temps up on the Dome came in, I started to think I'd be happy just to finish intact with no falls. Ended up being cold at the top, with snow but no accumulation so it really wasn't bad. With the relatively dry day yesterday, the trail was in pretty good shape even with the light rain last night and this morning. Only a little slippage, nothing too exciting. Started in the NB shoes, changed at Black Sheep into the trail shoes and I think that made a big difference. They weren't great on pavement, but great on the soft stuff and fine on the rocky parts.
Probably one of my slowest trips up the Dome (miles 10 and 11 lots of walking) and cramping in my calves and ankles in last 7 or so miles, but still won age group and 14th overall for women. :)
