Strange start, it seemed like the guy on the flatbed over by the school was doing a countdown, then the guys in the front just took off. I never heard anyone say "Go!" but we all just went. That probably explains my time discrepancy (Garmin said 24:18 but official chip time was 24:19 but still a 7:49 pace (so much better than last year's 8:15!). Had to walk and cough a couple times in last mile which was frustrating, but probably didn't affect my time much. Only 26th overall female so not much for points (again) but 1st in AG, so that's good.
Chilly day but the sun came out which was nice; wore my gloves the whole way.
(Roger Sayre came up from CO for Tristan's (4th overall with 16:59) UAF graduation and ran 18:31 for a 5:57 overall pace. Can't imagine...)
