Notes
Good effort today. We ran the "old" loop with a plan in mind. We ran the first mile at a SLOW 9:30 m/m pace. After crossing over the road we picked it up to an 8:15 m/m pace for the next 3/4 mile. Then for the return 3/4 we really pushed and got the pace down (according to Gary) to about 6:10 m/m. We shut it down to the 9:30ish pace for the rest of the run...well, we sprinted the last 100 yards or so, but I blame that on Josh. He just decided to take off and we couldn't let him get away w/that!
It was fun, and it felt good to really push the pace for a while, especially after yesterday where I had to fight the urge to blow it out.
One more run before Sunday's HM, and it's an easy 2 miler. Wow, I can't believe it's really here. I've run the gamut of feelings prepping for it. Looking to Sunday now leaves me anxious to toe the line, not one bit nervous about finishing. I only hope the legs hold up, and if I hit that 10 mile mark in 1:30 or less, that last 5k could get UGLY 'cause I'm bringing that shit home in under two!
