Fast downhill start with a sharp left turn onto the waterfront. Fun start really. First mile a guy from Brooklyn cruised past me, I allowed it. The second mile was uneventful, got to the goatpath and saw that the guy who passed me earlier was still going straight, similar to Louie last year. Needless to say the guy fell apart after he had to turn around onto the goat path. That mile was slow..legs were tired on the up hill, very similar to the year before. The last two miles I ran pretty scared, Luckily that guy and Perry never could recover to catch me, good motivation. Crossed the line just under 28. 3rd OA, 1st AG
Happy where the fitness is at. Time to buckle down for THE Fall Marathon.
