Notes

The quick take.

Marathon # 8, Huge PB. It's about the journey and being consistent, rather than the weeks leading up to a marathon.

Lessons learned:

1. Wear gloves if it's below 50, you can chuck em. You need your hands.

2. Long runs are important, but 20 isn't a magical number.

3. Taper sucks, don't run a whole lot, increase intensity, decrease volume..It worked for me.

4. Running is important, but you've gotta be healthy. Doing General Strength over the long term, can lead to many success.

5. Don't be intimidated to run faster, from 5k to and beyond. Funnily enough..---> http://www.coachjayjohnson.com/2014/04/stop-the-negative-self-talk-and-you-will-run-faster/

6. The Treadmill....learn to love it. I'm pretty sure 80% of my workouts were on the treadmill, it was a freaking cold and snowy winter here in Northern Michigan. It works, use it!
