ugggg. Lesson 1 - Look at the map before leaving the trail head. The first loop was only two miles. The second loop had a turn off at 7.5, than again at 10.5, but I didn't know that. At around 5 on the trail (7 so far in the day) miles i felt pooped. This was after a nearly a 3 hr car drive so my body felt tight as is. Rolled ankles, and starting to get cranky/hungry I stumbled upon (FINALLY!) the turn off to head back to the parking area. Fun run though. I'll be sure to hit up these trails if i get a chance again.
