Temp/DP 69; wind from south at 7MPH.
Parked at the tennis center on Hains Point and did clockwise loops. I had a bit of trouble getting going, so I didn't count mile 3 as a marathon effort mile,
I had also planned on doing 4-3-2-1 at marathon effort, but swapped to 2x5 just to get the workout done a bit quicker in case I ran out of time.
Splits were:
37:47 (7:38/7:34/7:29/7:34/7:32 - 7:33 pace);
1 mile in 9:00
37:41 (7:38/7:34/7:30/7:37/7:22 - 7:32 pace)
My gait felt good for most of this - perhaps a bit off at the end. Effort was very controlled - I could have extended this to 2x6 or done 10 straight.
L/R balance was 49.4/50.6 - wore toe spacers.
Wore arm-coolers.
Breakfast was rice, cereal, maurten gel and razz clif gel - sat well. Took a lemonade rocktane at mile 10.
