Temp/DP 60 - pretty sticky.
Did 2x5 at the Brooklyn half. Had a very rough start - legs were very stiff the whole race. I had planned to do 1 mile moderate at the start of the race and then right into the workout, but I decided to add an easy mile at the beginning after the rough start.
Splits were:
First 5 miles averaging 7:37 (in Prospect Park) - 7:40/7:28/7:36/7:39/7:29
1 mile float in 8:00
Second 5 miles averaging 7:17 pace (on straightaway down to Coney Island) - 7:07/7:16/7:17/7:21/7:23
Second 5 miles were definitely not marathon effort.
1 capsule Rytary and 0.5 mg rasagiline at 4 am. Legs really stiff the whole race.
Breathing was Advair 250/50 and Qvar, plus one puff of rescue. Breathing was OK.
Breakfast was rice, razz and chocolate gels - sat well. Took a Maurten during the mile float.
Carried water but didn't drink enough.
L/R balance at 49.1/50.9. Wore toe spacers.
