Temp 32, DP 30 (but felt warmer), little wind, pollen of 11.4
Did 6x800 at fast but fun effort, which ended up being surprisingly fast - the 2:53 at the end was a real surprise, but didn't feel that hard. Trailed pack of Sarah L, Tony, Lindsay, Laurel, and Weston; worked with Carolyn, Eric, and Maddie, plus Damien, Chris C, David K, and Sarah W earlier in the workout. Splits were 3:07, 3:02, 2:59, 2:58, 2:56, 2:53. Wish I could have kept going. Recoveries were a bit leisurely, but I'm not too concerned since this was a taper week.
Left shoe was mildly loose, which was annoying but I decided to just deal with it rather than retying.
Wore light tights, Boston longsleeve - felt perfectly dressed for the conditions.
Didn't start my watch on the coodown, so had to extrapolate distance/pace.
Breathing was very good - Advair 250/50 and Qvar
Breakfast was rice, hemp powder, and French toast and berry GUs - sat well.
I meant to get out the door at 5:45, but didn't. I keep thinking that if I can just get more drills and strides in before the workout, the first reps will be much smoother.
