Temp 65/DP 60, wind from west at 6 mph; bright sunshine.
Parked at the Tennis Center and did 2x5 miles at marathon effort. Splits were:
37:25 (7:40/7:27/7:28/7:25/7:25 - 7:29 pace),
1 mile float in 8:40,
37:21 (7:34/7:28/7:34/7:27/7:18 - 7:28 pace)
Averaged 7:36 for the 11 miles total
These felt smooth, gait maybe a bit rough at the end, but that could just be fatigue.
I did get some neuroma flaring in my feet in the later miles -perhaps shoes tied too tight? Or maybe the Rocket X2 may not work for me for the marathon distance.
Breakfast was rice, cereal, butter, and part of a Maurten bar; took a Maurten gel right before start. Took lemonade Rocktane during mile 9. Carried water - didn't drink too much, probably should have drank a bit more.
L/R balance was 49.8/50.2 - wore big toe spacers
