Notes
Nice day. Workout was 4 hudson-style hill repeats of 13 second each up hill of 17% slope, then a tempo workout of:
- 2 miles at 6:39 pace (slight up hill, and into wind, made these too hard an effort)
- complete rest
- 2 miles at 6:46 pace (slight down hill)
- 90 seconds jogging rest
- 1 mile at 6:43 pace (slight up hill)
- 70 seconds jogging rest
- 1 mile at 6:29 pace (slight downhill)
followed by 5 hill repeats at easy pace up 33rd (just building strength)
I would have loved to have done 3x2 miles at 6:40 pace, or even 4x2, but I'm not recovered yet from flu. This was all I had in me. Interestingly, my legs felt much weaker than my breathing -- hence adding in the hill repeats.
Glad I didn't race today -- I was not 100%. Right leg was not too bad (I took Voltaren this morning)
