Temp 38, DP 24. Wind of 10 MPH from NW; pollen of 8.2. Did 6x800, running at "fast but fun" effort - splits were 3:07, 3:06, 3:03, 3:00, 3:01, 2:53 (opened up a bit on the last). Worked with Mattie, Chris C, and David M, trailed Jake, Brent, and some others. Kept the recovery very active to a) avoid hammering the reps and b) stay warm.
Tried to cruise these and not work too hard - finished feeling like I could have done quite a few more at the faster pace (good), but my legs didn't feel as sharp as I would have liked. I think a lot of it was that I was cold (wore shorts and thin longsleeve, and was a bit underdressed), and still feeling the pollen.
Wore the Floatrides - I don't like how they feel unless I get up on my toes.
Breathing was good for workout - tight before, so I took two puffs of the rescue 5 minutes before. Also Advair 250/50 and Qvar.
Breakfast was rice, hemp powder, vanilla and smores GUs - sat well.
