Temp 48, DP 38; wind of 13 MPH from east, pollen of 10.3.
Did 4x400m at 10K effort with 100m float, then 300m float, before 2x200m at 5K effort with 200m float between and 400m float after. Ran 83, 93, 91, and 91, and then 44 and 43.
Felt surprisingly sharp. Ran way too fast for the first 400 - it's been a long time since I mis-paced something that badly. I think it was just that I overcorrected for my assumption that my legs would be heavy and the wind would slow me down. Plus, I was better warmed up than I usually am, since I started a bit later and did 6 strides before.
Debated just pulling the plug after the first 400, since my legs clearly didn't need sharpening. But decided to finish it just to nail down a more controlled feel.
Ran into Sushila Nanda afterwards, and decided to do some of my cool-down with her. Was good to catch up.
Breathing was OK. Advair 250/50, Qvar, and 2 puffs of rescue, since pollen so thick.
Breakfast was rice, hemp powder, smores GU, and some cereal. Sat well. No caffeine.
