Temp 39, DP 20, supposedly, but felt much cooler. Met at Pierce Mill and ran out to Bethesda and back. Ran with group out (except for first 2 miles, which were solo after I had to stop to readjust clothing) - after a few miles, group dwindled to Bill, Felipe, Katie, Ann, and myself. Ran with then until 8 miles, then Bill and Felipe went ahead, while Katie, Ann, and I stuck to our MP - we were targeting 7:05, but ended up a bit fast.
Lower abdomen very iffy and a bit painful for first half, until I hit bathroom at mile 7. Might be time to see doctor again. Psoas felt fine for first bit, but got sharp at times on way back.
Split as first ~4.5 at 8:08 pace, next 3.5 at 7:45 (including slow bit on Cap Crescent), next 3 at 7:25, and last 5 at 6:53. HRM not working, second half.
Took one gel at about mile 7.5; drank water from handheld throughout.
Followed up with injury prevention work at gym, including squats (2x8 at 115, 1x8 at 135 - practising good form, plus 2x6 at 65 - ass to grass), single leg deadlifts (4x5 at 35)
