I actually made it up and out on a Monday morning. Surprise, surprise. The additional surprise was the temperature outside. Amazingly it was only 53º out, so it made for the perfect running temperature. Today was intended to be a nice and slow easy workout. I didn't want to work at it, I just wanted to get a decent mid-to-long run in. Right from the start my HR was super low. The first mile I was just warming up and my HR was incredibly, almost unbelievably, low. I had to step up the pace just to get my HR up in workable range in the second mile, and the average for that mile was still low. I ended up running pretty nearly a negative-split mile-per-mile run the whole way through today. I kept having to step up the pace just a little bit in order to keep my HR in the "Easy" range. I like this, but I am not running enough miles for it to really pay off. Regardless, it was a great run.
