A moderate effort run today. I didn't want to go real fast, but I did want to push it a little bit and work the hills. I need to step up my running fitness because I pretty much got fed a large dose of reality in the Tri this weekend. The course was quite hilly and I pretty much got killed because I wasn't ready for that. So, I am going to push pretty hard to get some hill workouts on the bike and also running. Also, every run and bike I do from now until the next Tri I will be POUNDING the hills! Today I was happy with the run as a whole. I was able to keep my HR down when the course was flat and I recovered quickly after the sprint uphill sections. At the end, as usual, the last mile I pushed a little more, just because. No problem. An good run.
Sleep: decent (bed at 11:30am, awake at about 5:30am)
Mood: good
Physical: no complaints
