Notes
RUN portion of Tri-in-the-Buff Triathlon!! My first Triathlon!! So, after royally FUBAR'ing the transition exit, I was in a foul mood to start the run. The noodle-leg syndrome was in full force also. I was suffering a good deal with lack of strength right from the start. I think part of my problem was dehydration at this point, as I didn't drink very much at all during the bike. I got a cup of water at the first drink stop and wasn't able to actually drink very much at all. I poured the rest over my head. The first mile was rough. They didn't have mile markers or much info of any kind out on the course, so I have no clue how fast I started versus how fast I was running at the end, but I do know that it felt much faster in the beginning. The course was also not my favorite either, and I think this played a part in my fatigue and my overall time in the run. A LOT of the course was in grass, not on any kind of trail or anything. I DO NOT LIKE this and I find that I am not able to run as fast in these conditions. I'll stop whining now. It wasn't terrible, just very tiring.
The results indicate that I need to work on running fast, when tired.
