Notes
Started out running w/ Anna, then ran on my own to finish out the long run distance I had hoped for this week (6 mi).
Kind of ran in three segments:
2.5 M in 25:31 (incl. walk breaks) (10:10/mi pace)
2.6 M in 21:57 (no breaks) (8:26/mi pace)
1 M in 8:07.
Middle pace seemed best to me, but I picked it up the last leg just because I knew exactly where the 1 mile remaining point was, and I'm just that way.
What a difference a day makes. Yesterday I was struggling, today I felt great! Was a little cooler today, not so humid, and I got a good night of sleep last night. All around, better conditions, with better results. Could have actually kept running for a good while longer at this pace today, but am curtailing my mileage to stay within my weekly incremental rate of improvement.
Should break a couple of milestones soon:
- 20 miles in a week.
- Continuously run for over an hour.
Looking forward to doing either, as they will both be firsts for me, I think.
